Blender 2.8 came with many new features including a massive new UI update, which makes following any latihan before (Blender 2.79 and below) very difficult to follow, especially for someone who is completely new to the software.

While this may seem like bad news, there has never been a better time to get into Blender. It is open source and constantly growing and improving. Blender also has a large online community (The largest out of any 3D software most likely) who are constantly putting out new videos and art daily. r/blender, Blendernation, Blenderartists to name a few.

If you watch a lotre of Youtube 3D videos, you’ve probably come across PolygonRunway’s work. By sharing his knowledge and expertise for free on youtube, he has amassed a HUGE following on social media. I personally have learnt a ton from his videos.

2. Chocofur’s Blender Tutorial Beginner Series

Chocofur has a fantastic Beginner Blender 2.8 series on their channel, where they cover the absolute basics and smoothly transition into more challenging and complex topics in later videos. He keeps his explanations very slow paced and easy to understand for the viewer, making it very beginner friendly as he explains the ins and outs of the revamped user interface.

You’ll start off with object selection, learning how to rotate and scale, learning the viewport and lots of other core concepts. I always recommend this playlist as Chocofur does a great job ramping up the difficulty and making sure that by the time you’re done the videos, you’re ready to take on more challenging projects.

Chocofur updates this playlist at least weekly, so be on the lookout for more videos being constantly added to this fantastic playlist.

If you’re looking into breaking into the world of modelling game assets and props, this is the video for you. Yansculpts will also take you through the process of basic texturing, an extremely important concept for beginners to learn. I cannot recommend this series enough.

5. BlenderGuru’s 2.8 Beta Overview – Blender Tutorial

People who have used Blender before would be offended if BlenderGuru wasn’t included on this list.

BlenderGuru is the patron saint of Blender tuntunan videos. I learnt all of the basics from BlenderGuru’s Beginner and Intermediate tutorials for Blender 2.79, where they take you through Modelling a doughnut and a Coffee Cup. His channel is a cornerstone of the Blender community. Enough said.

BlenderGuru’s new videos are a walkthrough of everything that is new in Blender 2.8, it’s a super useful video. I’d recommend watching the aforementioned walkthrough video and then supplementing it with his old tutorials, which you can check out on youtube

. They may be on the last version, but after you have a basic understanding of 2.8, you can navigate his old beginner tutorial easily, as most Blender enthusiasts would tell you it’s a MUST watch.

6. CG Geek’s Intro to Eevee Latihan -Blender

This is my personal favorite kursus on this list.

Eevee is Blender’s new sungguhan-time rendering engine. You can find out more about it HERE.

CG Geek takes you step by step through Blender’s new Real time rendering engine, where you’ll cover bloom, subsurface scattering, lighting, compositing, materials, depth of field and several more new features of Eevee. The end result is a beautiful looking scene. The world of post processing and rendering in Blender is a complex subject, but CG Geek’s tutorial is a perfect jumping off point.
